COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY REQUEST
Lake View Cemetery is private property, and all visitors are asked to respect the privacy of our families and their family members buried here. Lake View does welcome photographers, film companies, members of the press, and academia to photograph the beauty of this Cemetery. We make every effort to accommodate requests while respecting the privacy of our families.
ONLY PHOTOGRAPHS FOR PERSONAL/ PRIVATE USE ARE ALLOWED WITHOUT ADVANCE APPROVAL.
NEWS, COMMERCIAL FILM, VIDEO, ADVERTISING, PROMOTION, PUBLICATIONS, OR WEBSITES ARE ONLY ALLOWED WITH CEMETERY APPROVAL PRIOR TO FILMING OR TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS. USAGE FEE OR SITE FEE MAY APPLY.
Mausoleums, monuments and headstones are the personal property owned by the families buried here. Detailed and close-up photographs of mausoleums, monuments and headstones can be taken only in such a manner as to not show the family name. (Only staff or family member may take pictures of the names).
- All News Media/Commercial requests are required to contact Mary Krohmer, Director of Community Relations, at 216-421-2687, or mkrohmer@lakeviewcemetery.com for
approval of your request. As much advance notice as possible is appreciated. - We hope media requests can work their story during the Cemetery’s regular business hours; however the cemetery can assist with the request before or after business hours.
- Staff must be present during the media’s/commercial time on the property.
- Request to film a burial will be determined by the wishes of the family, and approved by the Cemetery, who will provide guidelines to the media, including how close to the burial site they can be and where to park.
- Media that is prohibited to film burial will not be allowed on Cemetery property.

Images taken for film, video, advertising, promotional, publications purposes, and/or inclusion on a website are required to receive prior approval from Lake View Cemetery. Contact Mary Krohmer, Director of Community Relations at 216-421-2687 or mkrohmer@lakeviewcemetery.com for approval. - The Cemetery reserves the right to examine and review, for approval, all imagery prior to publication.
- In general, Lake View Cemetery has final approval regarding the usage of Cemetery property at all times.
- A usage fee will be charged for all commercial projects. In addition, Lake View Cemetery reserves the right to require site credit, when appropriate.
- Any violations of cemetery requirements will mean removal from the cemetery property.
RULES
- No photographs of stained glass windows are allowed with the exception of the stained glass window in Wade Memorial Chapel and the stained glass windows in the James A. Garfield Monument – again, only for personal/private use. Commercial photos of these windows need prior approval from the Cemetery.
- No photographs of private family mausoleum interiors are permitted.
- No photographs of funeral services, processions, or ceremonies are permitted.
- No photographs of copyrighted or commissioned art work (custom designed sculpture, bronze doors etc) may be taken.
- No group may enter the cemetery with the desire to photograph “ghosts” or paranormal activities.
- No model’s may be used in photographs at Lake View Cemetery.
- Family photos at gravesites must be respectful.
- No items may be moved, closed, or opened during photographs without advance approval.
- No ladders may be used during photographs without advance approval.
- No climbing on monuments or trees will be allowed for photographs.
- No photographs of Lake View Cemetery may be downloaded to any websites without advance permission.
GUEST PHOTOGRAPHY
If you would like to have your photo of Lake View displayed on this page, just send us your entry and we will consider it for posting. We know we have a lot of fans out there - now is your opportunity to "show your stuff!" Your picture will remain on our site for at least one week.
Lake View Cemetery reserves the right to review all guest photography submissions,
the content of which may subsequently be edited or declined prior to posting.
Email us your photo by clicking here or send to Jennifer Cali jcali@lakeviewcemetery.com and attaching it to the email. Photos should be no larger than 275 x 275 pixels in size, and must be either .gif or . jpg format. Please title your email photo sumission and include your name, state and country for photo credit.
