Twenty years ago, the rate of Cremation accounted for about 12% of the Burials that were being serviced nationally. Today the rate of cremation has reached 30% and is likely to continue to grow in the future.
With this in mind, Lake View Cemetery wanted to offer the families we serve options other than Niches and ground spaces for the disposition of cremated remains.
Summer 2008 brought Lake View it's newest section: The Garden of Memories. This special area has a concrete path that meanders the shores of Wade Pond, featuring a 15 foot fountain as a back drop to one of the most peaceful areas that one can find in Cleveland.
Families planning their cremation estates with Lake View have a variety of options available for the internment of cremated remains. There are benches, boulders, towers, tree stumps and private columbaria. All of these options are available for single or multiple internment.
Families wishing a more "back to nature" atmosphere can also arrange for their cremation estate within on our Nature Trail.
Lake View continues to offer the more traditional forms of memorialization for cremated remains, if that should be your choice. Along with in ground burial options, our community mausoleum has traditional granite front niches, as well as illuminated glass front niches. Granite front niches are also available in our garden crypt buildings.
